I always tell users new to Daylite that are on first impression feel a little overwhelmed with Daylite’s steep learning curve, there are multiple levels in which you can utilize Daylite. After five minutes of playing around with a sample database, you’ll find some things you’re familiar with, such as calendars, contacts, and to do items (tasks).

Within an hour of browsing through a database and a little basic training, you will have a good understanding of how Daylite functions and how you can use it. Many of the concepts, however, may still be murky in your mind until you have implemented and used Daylite on a rudimentary level.

You will not be able to effectively implement each feature in Daylite or technique explained in this book as a part of your workflow. You will need to determine what is helpful to you and take those methods to personalize your Daylite workflow.

This book is directed toward intermediate to advanced users in a small business environment. Some of the tips are also applicable, however, for the beginning users as well as Daylite veterans. Some basic knowledge of Daylite is required prior to the application of the material in this book.
